WHAT DOES ROTTERJAM DO AS A VENTURE?
RotterJam aims to create a long-lasting impact on the lives of the elderly. The venture is not only hosting events but spending time with them and bringing them interactions with younger people. RotterJam hosts events at least once every two months. Simultaneously, the team is working on selling inventory of strawberry-cinnamon jams that were produced last year.
ROTTERJAM STORY
RotterJam started with us making jam with the elderly in retirement homes. We were originally giving the final product to elderly as a present. However, we now expanded our production to a factory that makes jam from wasted fruits. These improvements ensured our growth and led to more large scale and diverse events for the elderly.
MISSION AND VISION OF THE VENTURE
The mission of RotterJam is to combat elderly loneliness. Venture does so by organizing events in elderly homes that are funded by sales of our sustainably made jam.

Venture is aligned with SDG 3 : Health and Well-Being and SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production.
ROTTERJAM CUSTOMERS
This year, RotterJam continue its transition to the B2B business model that the team started last year. The venture is focusing more on companies and stores. It goes without saying that RotterJam will still offer jams to individual buyers, but it’s no longer the main focus of its strategy.
STAGE OF DEVELOPMENT
RotterJam has an existing structure, but the team would like to expand the venture and innovate, through both events and product, and not only limit themselves to the predefined route. So RotterJam is nearing maturity and a stable financial situation gives them some freedom to experiment.
ROTTERJAM PARTNERS
In the past RotterJam was happy to collaborate with multiple businesses including The Social Hub and ERM by providing our jams to their spaces. Furthermore, venture supplied jams to multiple events hosted by STAR (official association of RSM).
